FINDING HEALING AND HOPE IN TIME OF CHALLENGE THROUGH SECOND ISAIAH

During the month of January, several of our Mt. Vernon Church family attended a Bible study led by Pastor Mi Sook, which focused upon the second part of Isaiah (Isaiah chapters 40-55). Participants learned about how God had loved, comforted, and delivered the Israelites from their Babylonian exile. As persons living through the pandemic, members were encouraged to express  their own “Experiences of God” and/or “Images of God” as a form of artwork; e.g., drawing, painting, collage, poem, or any creative project a participant wanted to do.

The participants want to share their artwork with you in the hope that you, too, will reflect upon God’s comforting grace, strength and healing during this time of challenges and even despair. Here are links to four of these projects. Please click on a picture to enlarge it and see it more closely.
